Boudoir is the French word for a woman’s bedroom so it makes sense that a glamour boudoir photo shoot is typically thought of as a sexy photoshoot. Clients typically wear revealing outfits – lingerie, stockings, undergarments, dresses, jewelry, wigs, etc.

It doesn’t always have to be like that though! Personally, when I think of a boudoir shoot, I think of it as this special day to sit and be pampered like a star with all the fixings: professional hair and makeup that highlights your best features, wardrobe consultations, and my favorite, champagne and some fruit! When we say glam boudoir, I think it’s all about getting glammed up for your boudoir photoshoot.

I believe “glam” is relative; while some look at glam as being all made up from head to toe, I also think of glam as an avenue to make someone look and feel beautiful in a way they’ve never experienced.

All of this becomes more than a photoshoot, it becomes a huge self-confidence booster for you! While some women believe wearing sexy clothing helps them build confidence, I think it’s honestly more about your makeup look and what makes you feel good in it. I love looking over different eyeshadow palettes with liners, and I find so much enjoyment in seeing what glam makeup looks my clients come up with! I welcome your creative input because this experience is all about YOU!

What is the Difference Between Glam Photography and Boudoir Photography?

There’s actually a fine line between glam photography and boudoir photography that sometimes, it’s quite tricky to separate the two. In some cases, the difference between the two is greatly subjective.

Glamour or glam photography leans more on making images that a lot of people are expected to see. With glam photography, the subject is almost always fully clothed, with wardrobe and styling playing a big role in the photoshoot.

Meanwhile, boudoir photography is more intimate, sensual, sexier, and personal. For most clients, boudoir photos are meant to be enjoyed personally or with a loved one. It’s not surprising for glam photography and boudoir photography to overlap, which would result to a glam boudoir.

At T. Marie Creatives, we see to it that the request and preferences of our clients are granted. Your boudoir photoshoot is all about you and we want you to enjoy every moment of it.

Glam Boudoir - Merging Glam Photography and Boudoir Photography

Glam boudoir photography focuses on a subject’s beauty and charm from the shoulders up. What sets my work apart is that I look to capture all of your best angles, from your head down to your toes. I believe that we can still produce glam even if we can’t see the face of the subject.

Why Glam Boudoir

Do you remember as a teenage girl being so excited when your mom let you do glamour shots?

For little girls, glam photoshoots are beautiful and fun – a wonderful way to play pretend. But glam photoshoots are hands down more fun for grown-ups! Being a grown up is a real treat in this aspect and we are here to capture more than just your gorgeous smile and profile.

It’s YOUR essence of being a luxurious woman that needs to be immortalized to last a lifetime.

Preparing for a Glamour Boudoir Shoot

When you book me as your boudoir photographer, the only expectation I have of you is to show up on the day of your shoot. I do not expect you to know how to do glamour photography makeup, nor do I expect you to have your hair volumized with juicy curls.

I don’t expect you to know how to pose your hands, feet, and face. I literally have zero expectations of you except to just show up!

I find strength and joy in making women feel like a million dollars through our boudoir photoshoots. I think what we offer here is not just a photoshoot – we offer a once in a lifetime experience.
